Everything we at New Hope Church are about is firmly rooted in the reconciling work of Jesus Christ at the cross. All who bear the image of God have sinned and fallen short of His glory, yet by faith in Him we “who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:13). Not only does God reconcile us to Himself through the death of Jesus, but His work reconciles believers from all walks of life “to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility” that alienates us one from the other (see Ephesians 2:16).
We aspire to be an all-peoples community. This means we really do wish to be a community that looks on earth like the great gathering of saints in heaven—a “ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation” (Revelation 5:9). Because this is so, we are especially committed to celebrating the dignity of image-bearers from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds, giving meaningful space for all to flourish. With a posture of dependency upon God and true humility, we want to engage in those challenging moments where the same gospel that reconciles us sinners to God should be applied to our relationships with one another.
NEW HOPE CHURCH IS A CHRIST-CENTERED COMMUNITY FOR ALL PEOPLES, MOVING TOWARD JESUS & TAKING OTHERS WITH US.
